On Thursday 2 June I will be participating in the third Cape Town edition of Bring Your Own Beamer, curated by Matty Roodt. I will be showing two films: the first a snake film by my grandfather, John Wood, and the other a short piece I made while sailing across the Atlantic Ocean in 2013. Gallery Momo, 6pm, 2 June 2016.

Bring Your Own Beamer is a project started by artist Rafaël Rozeldaal. It works on a first-come-first-serve basis. Participants bring their own projectors (AKA “beamer”) or light source. They show their work on any available spot they can find. The result is a great visual mash-up of light-based work. BYOBs are held all around the world, giving artists a chance to have fun with the medium. This Cape Town edition, organised by Matty Roodt, will be held in the Gallery MoMo parking garage. Showcasing the young, experimental, and, anyone for that matter.
